Use this chart to learn more about each role’s permissions, and decide which is right for each user at your organization.
Dashboard
Users with this access will be able to see the dashboard page. This page features graphs that offer insights into spending habits and benefit utilization. For employer-sponsored benefits, data includes total company spending, average spend per employee, popular spending methods, active employees, claim approval rates, popular categories, and top reasons for claim rejections. For pre-tax benefits, data includes the percentage of employees using pre-tax benefits, those who have spent pre-tax money, and the total number of pre-tax accounts by status.
Funding Statements
Users with this access can download monthly statements to view a full transaction history. These users can also check the account balance and view top-up history.
Edit Banking
Depending on your company’s deposit account setup, users with this access can edit the external bank account linked to your Forma deposit account. These users can also check the account balance and view top-up history.
Reports
Users with this access can generate reports about your employer-sponsored and pre-tax benefits.

Viewer and finance roles allow users to access reports without Personal Identifying Information (PII). Forma is not responsible for removing PII sent in file fields that are not intended to capture such information.
Benefit plans
Users with this access will be able to view all of your company’s active and ended benefits on Forma. This page is organized by employer-sponsored accounts and pre-tax accounts.
Employee information
Users in this group will have access to details related to individual employees and their benefits. This page includes information about user profiles, benefits, and activities. To learn more about how you can use this page, see the article Forma Admin: Employees. For employer-sponsored specific information, refer to the article Forma Admin: Manage Employees.
Admins will also be able to update the available balance of any benefit account (except HSA) for a given employee by adding or removing funds. To learn more, see How do I manually adjust account funding for individual employees?
File Manager
Users with this access will be able to view all files Forma has received and processed, allowing your team to monitor file uploads made through automatic feeds or Forma Admin. You can review the following file types here, depending on your benefits offerings: Employer-sponsored demographics files (including HRA), and pre-tax demographics, elections, and contributions files.
These users will also be able to review any file issues in detail if a pre-tax file has warnings or errors. This feature is not yet available for employer-sponsored demographics files.
SSO and integrations
Users with IT access can configure or modify your Single Sign-on (SSO) connection with Forma.
Edit role-based access levels
